Timber Design was formed in 2002 as a design studio dedicated to Timber Architecture. The practice is based in Devon and works primarily in the UK. The objective is to design innovative, contemporary Timber Architecture that 'goes together' with simplicity and ease, both visually and technically. The importance of construction and detailing is recognised alongside aesthetics and space, the aim being well conceived architecture that can be elegantly realised. Timber, as a material, provides exciting possibilities in architectural and structural design that have long been recognised and employed. New challenges, materials and standards ensure that innovation remains of primary importance when designing with timber. | | |
